11. In every magical ceremony, the four elements of Nature have to be conjured. (See the Conjuration of the Four in Chapter 15).
12. The Kingdom of the Sylphids is in the east, and their chief is Paralda.
13. The Kingdom of the Undines is in the west, and their chief is Varuna.
14. The Kingdom of the Gnomes is in the north, and their chiefs are Gob and      Kitichi.
15. The Kingdom of the Salamanders is in the south, and their chiefs are Djin      and Agni.
16. The Sylphids are the Spirits of air.
17. The Undines are the Spirits of water.
18. The Gnomes are the Elementals of earth.
19. The Salamanders are the Elemental Spirits of fire.
20. When the operator is conjuring the creatures of fire, he will face the south. When he is conjuring the creatures of air, he will face the east. When he is conjuring the creatures of earth, he will face the north. When he is conjuring the creatures of water, he will face the west.
21. A five-pointed star must be drawn with charcoal on the floor. The columns of angels and demons tremble before this star.
22. The upper vertex of the Star will point to the inside of the room, and the two lower angles of the Star will point to the outside of the room.
23. A six-pointed star can also be drawn at the centre of the circle, to make the Elementals obey.
24. The Hebraic letter Aleph can replace the five-pointed star and the six-pointed star.
25. The creatures of air are commanded with the feather of a bird.
26. The creatures of water are conjured with a cup in the hand.
27. The creatures of earth are conjured with a staff.
28. The creatures of fire are conjured with a sword.
